Calling All Alumni - Redbirds vs. Lindenwood This Saturday

The ISU Redbirds to play Lindenwood University in first round of American Collegiate Hockey Association Regional playoffs this Saturday at 11:30 AM

The Redbirds have achieved a long-term goal of making it to the Regional Playoff Tournament of the ACHA Central Region.  Now they need the support of all alumni, parents, and friends as they take the ice at the new Leaf's Centre in West Dundee, IL this Saturday at 11:30 AM.

The Redbirds are 0-1-1 vs. Lindenwood this season as the two teams met in early February.  The Lindenwood Lions are ranked #4 in the ACHA Central Region and are no stranger to the Regional Playoffs. 

For the Redbirds, it is the first appearence in more than 15 years.  This young and hungry squad will be ready to put up a fight as the #9 seed in the Central Region.  Losing just 3 seniors, the Redbirds intend on making the ACHA Regionals an annual event.  They are posed to make a statement in their well deserved appearence.  Coming into the weekend with a record of 21 - 12 - 1 - 3 the Redbirds plan to add two more wins to their season total.  If that is achieved, they would move on to the Sweet 16 at the National Tournament venue in Simsbury, Connectucit March 17 - 20th.
