Jordan Swiderski is not a name that rolls off your tongue, but Redbird fans will soon be speaking about him after every game.
Jordan Swiderski is not a name that rolls off your tongue, but Redbird fans will soon be speaking about him after every game. The 6 foot, 185 pound power forward (RW) led the Chicago Bulldogs of the Great Lakes Junior A Hockey League to a first place finish in the regular season and the run to a GLJHA Championship finish. The team went on to the national tournament, losing all three games to Atlanta, Long Island and Helena.
Jordan is a point per game player scoring 17 goals and 22 assists in 40 regular season games for Chicago. All that production with only one trip to the sin bin makes Jordan a great candidate as a penalty killer for the Redbirds. Jordan stepped it up when playing top talent, scoring 5 goals and 1 assist in 6 playoff games this past season.
Jordan has skated with the Redbirds this spring during a Captain's Practice where he had the veterans asking who he was. He will join the guys for the Mini-Camp coming up in mid-July. If you'd like to see Jordan and other top prospects skate with Redbird veterans, come out to the Pepsi Ice Center Friday night July 13 at 9:10 PM and Saturday at 5:10 PM.
