It took 7 minutes, but the Redbirds served otice that Friday would not be repeated in the second game of the two game series vs. Loyola. John Galvan found his stride as he skated 100 feet to the Loyola net and parked a wicked wrister behind Loyola tender Nathan Pecorro to begin the Redbird romp.
Eric Brown followed NightHawk's example just 16 seconds later, making it 2 to nothing off a feed from Michael Kestas for a Redbird power play goal.

Period 2 was a 1 to 1 draw as Ryan Dunne connected off a Phil O'Connor dish for the Redbirds.
The third period featured Alan Urbaniak who scored his second short-handed goal of the young season, assisted by his PK partner, Connor Anderson.
Ryan Suizdak got the win stopping 24 of 27 shots. The Redbirds are now 1 - 1 - 0 in MACHA Gold.
